Spiritual Beliefs Were An Important Factor In Healing

Spiritual beliefs are important in healing.

Physical disease often is a symptom of an unhealthy spirit out of sync with God's love, mercy, forgiveness and grace. Healing can signify a positive transformation of a person's relationship with the Creator. Doctors still cannot explain the beneficial impact of prayer and faith in the healing process.

Health challenges test your faith.

Health challenges can do more to improve or destroy your relationship with God! My battles with cancer, impotence and fibrocystic lung disease were waged at all levels...emotional,  physical and spiritual. My emotional roller coaster was filled with depression, fear and despair until I came to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as my Savior.

Boyd's faith in Jesus Christ helped tremendously.

Seeking a healthy relationship with Jesus was one of the major factors that gave me the faith, trust and optimism  necessary to survive 20 years beyond my premature death sentence by conventional medical doctors. The spirit is definitely stronger than the flesh.

Life is a battle every day.

My battle for life on a daily basis is a real challenge. Fighting for every breath is difficult. A lack of oxygen robs my strength and energy. Sometimes I feel like a drowning man in a sea of air. I have no doubt my body would have passed away long ago if not for my  relationship with Jesus.

The health of your relationships is critical.

The  primary message of Jesus was, "Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you. Bless those that curse you. Pray for those who despitefully use and persecute you. The only way to overcome evil is with good."  Jesus was always talking about loving your neighbor and laying your life down for a friend. He even tells us to feed our enemy if he is hungry and give him drink if he is thirsty.

Loving your neighbor is hard.

The hardest thing in the world is to turn your cheek, love your neighbor as yourself, consider others more valuable than yourself, give to the poor, help the sick and visit the imprisoned. Everyone needs to become living examples of God's mercy and compassion regardless of denomination. Examples like Mother Theresa are desperately needed in the world today.

Damnation is the fate of many.

What a sobering thought it is when you realize your are a sinner who deserves nothing but eternal damnation. I am one of the most grateful people you will ever meet, especially in light of victories over life threatening diseases.

Eternal salvation is a free gift.

I am very thankful for the free gift of salvation not based on my works but on the personal sacrifice of Jesus Christ. It is not earned or deserved. It is a free gift that can never be lost. Any good I do is not because I am trying to gain anything but out of gratitude for what Jesus did for me.

There is hope for the future.

Fortunately there is hope for your future. No matter the size of your personal problems or health challenges a personal relationship with Jesus is an integral part of the answer you are seeking.

Indwelling of the Holy Spirit transformed my life.

My physical, emotional and spiritual healing occurred when the Holy Spirit entered into my heart. Once the teachings of Christ started to make sense, my life and health were instantly transformed. The bible is a good place to seek answers for difficult questions.

Sincerely yours,

Boyd Bennett
